Hiya, Colleen!
Welcome to planDisney! How wonderful that you're planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. With a party large enough to require two Disney Resort hotel rooms, I'm sure all kinds of magical fun awaits you, so let's get right to your question!
It sounds like you already have your
Disney Resort hotel reservation secured, but if not you can easily book your upcoming stay through the 'Build Your Vacation' toolbar at the top of the
Walt Disney World Resort website. Beginning 60 days before your arrival, you'll be able to complete the Online Check-In process through your
My Disney Experience account either online or in the mobile app. During this process, you'll be given the option to choose from various pre-populated room request priorities, so I suggest making sure both parties are making the same selections for each room. Unfortunately, there is not currently a way to make more specific room requests through the online process at this time, so to have your proximity request on file you'll need to call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations with the confirmation numbers for both rooms. Of course, it's important to keep in mind that room requests are not guaranteed, but the friendly Cast Members at the Disney Resorts Collection hotels do their very best to accommodate the needs of each Guest when assigning rooms.
An extra bit of planDisney pixie dust: One of my favorite benefits of Walt Disney World's Online Check-In process is the
Direct-to-Room Service that sends my Disney Resort hotel room number to my My Disney Experience app as soon as my room is available. With my MagicBand or
My Disney Experience app as my key, there's no need to stop by the Front Desk!
I hope this information was helpful, Colleen, and that your room requests are able to be accomodated during your vacation. As always, feel free to
stop back by planDisney with any additional questions you may have. We're happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
