Hi Emma! Thanks so much for bringing your question to us here at planDisney!
While park tickets are
nonrefundable, you will have quite a bit of time to use them as the spark of magic included with each one never fully burns out! It sounds like you have a single-day ticket, so let's take a look at your ticket's official expiration date. To find this, you can check the e-mail confirmation you received when purchasing the ticket, or, if you have linked your ticket to the
Disneyland Mobile App, we can find it there. Simply navigate to the three bar menu in the bottom right-hand corner of your home screen. Choose "Tickets and Passes" and you should see your linked tickets with the date underneath the barcode. With a single-day ticket, your ticket is valid for use up through this expiration date on any park days that are of the same pricing tier or lower. The tiers are determined by date and season, so if you happen to choose a new date that is in a higher tier, give
Guest Services a ring to see about upgrade opportunities.
If for some reason, you are unable to make it to the Happiest Place on Earth before the expiration date, don't worry! You can apply the value of the unused ticket towards the purchase of a new park ticket. The magic is truly always here for you!
As a friendly reminder, when you do pick a new date to visit, you will also need to make a
theme park reservation. Be sure to take a peek at the
reservation calendar when considering your trip to ensure that your preferred park is available on your preferred day. Reservations can be canceled and rescheduled, so I always like to grab one even if my trip is still in the dream phase and not quite in the reality phase. I know I can always release it for another guest once plans do or don't come together.
Now, you may be asking yourself when would be a good time to visit the
Disneyland Resort, and boy do I have exciting news for you. There is SO much to see and do in 2022! Both the
Lunar New Year celebration and
Disney California Adventure Park Food & Wine Festival are back this year! Or you could hold off until the warmer months and the return of Fantasmic!, World of Color and, my personal favorite, the classic Main Street Electrical Parade!
Well, Emma, I hope this was helpful in planning your next visit to the Happiest Place on Earth! If you need anything else, we are always here for you at
planDisney - just reach out!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
