One of the wonderful things about staying at a
Disney Resort hotel is waking up to a view that’s just as enchanting as the parks themselves. Picture this: sipping your morning coffee whilst watching giraffes wander by at
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, catching the glow of fireworks in the distance from your balcony at
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or looking out at the fiery sunset sky from
Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Whether it’s a serene lake, a bustling courtyard, or a sparkling pool, the view from your room can make your stay even more memorable.
You can certainly request a pool view at many Disney Resort hotels! Some resorts offer "Pool View" or "Water View" as a bookable room category, which means you can guarantee that view by selecting it when you make your reservation (subject to availability). These rooms are a few extra pounds, but totally worth it if a view is important to you. If you booked a different room type but would prefer a pool view, you can make a request by calling
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations or noting it in your online check-in under "Room Requests." Whilst room requests aren’t guaranteed, Cast Members do their best to honor them when possible.
A little tip: if having a specific view—like the pool—is really important to you, it’s best to book that view type directly when making your reservation. That way, you’re not relying on availability at check-in. And no matter your view, be sure to explore the resort grounds during your stay. Disney puts just as much magic into the landscaping and pool areas as they do into the parks.
