Even though I always take a ton of photos to document our family trips, it is so nice to have someone else take them for us so the whole family can be included! I highly recommend exploring
Disney PhotoPass service during your trip. There are wonderful PhotoPass photographers stationed throughout both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at some of the iconic photo locations such as in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, or along the Pixar Pier bridge.
The easiest way to see where the photographers are located is in the
Disneyland App. Open up the app, and tap the location icon in the bottom navigation bar. You can then scroll at the top and look for "PhotoPass," and you'll see the Mickey PhotoPass icon pop-up on the park maps, or you can click "Show List" to see a list of locations.
You have a few options if you'd like to
purchase these special photos. If you purchase
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Disney PhotoPass+ One Day, they both include downloads of your photos from that day. An alternative is to purchase Disney PhotoPass photos as individual downloads. We love to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass to help maximize our time in the parks, and the access to the digital downloads from our Disney PhotoPass photos is such a bonus!
My final tip is to ask the PhotoPass photographers if there are any "Magic Shots" available as they're snapping your photos. Sometimes you'll be able to get a surprise appearance from a Disney pal or a special enhancement to your photo!
