Hi there, Ronald!
A Disney Dream sailing in March sounds like a grand idea to me. And how sweet of you to plan so many special touches for your grandkids on your Disney cruise. Best grandad alert!
I love that you want to surprise them with a character phone call! The options include Mickey, Goofy, or Mickey and Minnie together. Here’s how you go about requesting a call: once you have logged into your Disney Cruise Line account to
access your reservation, scroll down to the “Get Ready to Cruise” section. There’s a large "Request a Call" box. After selecting the character(s), you will provide the ship, sail date, destination, phone number, and when you would like to have them call.
Currently, these
character calls are available to residents of the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada (except Quebec). Expect a confirmation email explaining what to do if you need to reschedule or if you happen to miss the call. We scheduled our call for Christmas Eve and I can't wait to hear "Hiya pal!" from Mickey himself.
As far as personalized stateroom door decorations, you would have to order those in advance from retailers specializing in this. My go-to website for this is Etsy. Just do a search using the words "Disney cruise, magnets and personalized" and voila! You will be able to find so many options. You can also purchase stateroom decor kits including character magnets in the
Onboard Merchandise shops. They wouldn’t have the grandkids’ names on them, but they sure brighten up the front of the stateroom door. And the kids will have a blast arranging them!
Ronald, thanks for coming by and letting us assist you in making your Disney cruise MAGICal for your loved ones. That truly makes my day! I hope you have the best vacation ever with your grandchildren.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
