Welcome to planDisney, Evelyn.
Staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel is one of the most exciting aspects of any Walt Disney World trip. With their detailed theming, unique storytelling, and second-to-none customer service, they really immerse you in the magic. The
benefits of staying on property always sprinkle that extra pixie dust on my trip.
If you would like to have a microwave in your room, then I would recommend staying in one of the family suites at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort or one of the family suites at any of the All-Star Resorts. These suites have a kitchenette that includes a mini-fridge, sink, microwave, and coffee maker. You could also consider staying at the
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. These include full kitchens, with a full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, sink, oven, dishwasher, and microwave. You may also be interested in a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom
Deluxe Villa, which all come with a toaster and microwave in the room.
If you book a hotel room that doesn't have a microwave listed as an amenity, then I would advise you to contact the Resort and request a microwave in your room. You can ask Guest Services to make a notation on your Guest room file. When you check into your Disney Resort hotel, you can mention to a Cast Member at the Front Desk that you requested a microwave in your room. Cast Members are truly amazing and they will try their best to accommodate you. However, I will say that there are no guarantees, Evelyn. Since policies are always subject to change, it might not be possible.
You might find it helpful to know that there are microwaves available at the food courts in the Resort hotels. As a Guest of the hotel, you'd be free to use these microwaves during the food court operating hours. Obviously, this means leaving your room, which might not be super convenient. However, the option is there for you, if you want it.
In the words of Sally from Cars, "I hope you find what you're looking for." Thanks for stopping by
planDisney.
