Hey there, Timothy, and welcome to planDisney! You’ve asked me a question about my second favorite Disney topic: MagicBands! So, I will apologize in advance for the excitement in my response below. And in case you are wondering, my favorite Disney topic is Disney Food! But let’s get back to your question!
Timothy,
MagicBands are available for an additional fee through
ShopDisney, physical retail locations throughout the resort (like
World of Disney in Disney Springs), and the
My Disney Experience account for Guests staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Once you book your reservation, your My Disney Experience account will display pre-arrival exclusive MagicBands just for you! They range from truly unique to more tame solid colors and are offered at a discounted rate. When you log into your My Disney Experience Account, scroll down to where you see your upcoming reservation. On the right side of the screen, you should see the option to
Unlock the Magic with MagicBands. Click the
Please make your selection link, and you’ll be on your way to choosing your MagicBand.
Timothy, MagicBands currently have limited availability due to supply chain challenges. So if you see a style that you like, I recommend grabbing it as soon as possible. You are also able to wait until your Resort arrival to peruse the retail locations throughout the “bubble” to see if there is availability in your desired style.
And if you decide to forgo Magic Bands altogether,
Disney MagicMobile Service gives you access to the same entitlements as MagicBands. Disney’s MagicMobile Pass is a contactless - and convenient - option to access the Theme Parks using the My Disney Experience mobile app and your eligible mobile device. Disney’s MagicMobile pass also gives you access to the same Disney features that your MagicBand would - like Lightning Lane Entrances, Disney PhotoPass images, etc. You can create a MagicMobile pass in your My Disney Experience Mobile App. Open your mobile app and select the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner. Choose the “Disney MagicMobile” option and complete the remaining prompts to create your MagicMobile Pass. Once created, your pass can be saved in your Apple Wallet for easy access to the Theme Parks by touching your phone or Apple Watch to the Theme Park Entrance touchpoints.
I hope this helps, Timothy!
