Can you still request "key to the world" cards instead of the "Magic bands? Some sites say yes, others no.

    Hey Lorna-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Admission cards or MagicBands? I say yes… to both. Currently when you are planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation MagicBands come standard. You are unable to request admission cards online. You may, as stated on My Disney Experience, get them when you arrive. “If you prefer to use an RF card, which cannot be detected by long-range readers, you can request an RF card at your Disney Resort hotel, and you do not need to customize your MagicBand.” Also, “Whether you have a MagicBand wristband or touch to enter admission card—or both—you are seamlessly connected to your reservations, park admission and other plans and purchases.”

Disney Dad Tip: Customizing MagicBands creates a fantastic wearable souvenir. Since you may have both you can always choose which to carry with you into the theme parks.

I hope this helps solve the mystery. Please let me know if you need further answers to help you have the best Walt Disney World Resort vacation.

Lorna, enjoy making many Magical Memories!
