Ahoy there, Susan! Welcome back to our magical corner of planDisney!
Your Disney cruise is Just Around the Riverbend, and I’m excited for you! One of my favorite things about Disney Cruise Line is its commitment to guest inclusivity. As a fellow guest with a
dietary restriction, I appreciate their efforts and willingness to make sure I feel included. I'm always so excited to find out that I can experience so much of the delicious dining offerings on board, because Disney Cruise Line is committed to making it so! I would love to share more about this and how you can request gluten-free options during your cruise.
You should let Disney Cruise Line know that you need gluten-free options during your cruise before you set sail. You can do this either in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App or on the Disney Cruise Line website, under “Special Services”. From there, click “Dietary Requirements” and then “No Gluten/Wheat”.
Your
Rotational Dining Team will be informed that gluten-free options should be prepared for you at dinner, as well as throughout your cruise. While never guaranteed, in my experience, my Dining Team has prepared dining options for me at the buffet for breakfast and lunch and at the Quick-Service locations on the pool deck. If there is something specific you would like prepared, such as gluten-free cookies and/or dessert, you should let your Dining Team know during dinner on the first night of your cruise, and they will see if this is something that can be done. They will also relay all of the places on board that can offer you gluten-free options during your sailing.
The specialty dietary requests in
Room Service, however, are dependent on what is available on board. You should call Room Service from your stateroom telephone and ask what the gluten-free options are.
As for allergy-friendly and gluten-free options in the Concierge Lounge, I recommend reaching out to your Concierge Team before you set sail to inquire about what can be prepared for you. In my experience, allergy-friendly options and dietary requests within the Concierge Lounge have to be made with the Concierge Team. They will let you know if your allergy-friendly request can be made in the Concierge Lounge and any other options that can be accommodated for you, if possible.
Susan, I hope that I clarified how to get your gluten-free dietary request made. I wish you the most delicious dining memories during your cruise! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
Seas the Adventure,
Rana
