Can you still request fried oreos at Ohana for dinner? I read a blog that someone said the chef made them and that they were awesome.

    Hi Lora,

When it comes to all things related to Disney's Polynesian Resort, I'd like to think that I'm pretty well versed. However, I'm going to be honest and tell you that this one stumped me! Even though I've had dinner at 'Ohana dozens of times, I've never seen or heard about this little off-menu treat.

I have a friend who shares an equal level of interest in Disney's Polynesian Resort, so I gave him a call to see if he had heard of it.

    Guess what?

He knew exactly what you were talking about!

The scoop I got from my buddy was that this was something one of the head chefs used to whip up for guests he befriended over the years. Unfortunately, my buddy said that the chef hasn't been at 'Ohana in a little while now. Sorry!

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

This is a perfect example of what I mean when I tell people that the cast members at Walt Disney World are some of the friendliest and most genuine people you'll ever meet. If you haven't already, take the time to chat with the cast members and you'll find that these are the kinds of people that you'd want to invite into your home for Sunday dinner.

Over the years, I've developed many friendships with various cast members; many of them remember my name without skipping a beat. While the attractions, shows, resort hotels, and restaurants are truly amazing, it's the cast members that make Walt Disney World a world-class destination.

I hope that helps! If you should have any further questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
