Hiya, Chelsa. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for dropping by with your question.
Chelsa, are you excited about your
Walt Disney World trip at the start of the new year? I can't think of a better way to kick off 2023 other than a trip to Walt Disney World. That is going to be so much fun.
My family and I stay at
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground quite a bit, Chelsa. We really enjoy it there. There are so many fun things to do, it's like a mini vacation all in itself. The cabins are so nice because they provide a bit more space for everyone. There is a bedroom with the most comfortable queen bed and then a set of bunk beds, a spacious bathroom with a bathtub which is perfect for those little ones, a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, a living room with a pull-out couch and a dining area.
To request adjacent cabins, I think the best option is to
call a Cast Member directly and have them notate your request on your reservation. I would go ahead and do this as soon as possible to give you the best chance of it working out. Requests are not guaranteed but Cast Members do try their best to accommodate if possible. Phone lines open up around 7:00 a.m. each morning and I do recommend calling earlier in the day to avoid those pesky long wait times on hold. Once it gets closer to your reservation, maybe a week out or so, then I would call back and make sure the request was added almost as a reminder. It always makes me feel better about my chances for a request when I've done this.
Also, if you haven't already, I suggest
renting a golf cart during your stay. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is a very fun but spread-out place. The best way to get around is by golf cart. You can rent a golf cart by calling (407) 824-2742. You'll need your reservation confirmation and a credit card to put on file that will be charged the day you pick up the golf cart.
I hope this helps. If you have other questions, please feel free to
reach back out to me. I'm here to help.
Happy camping!
Jackie H.
