Hey there, Heather, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're starting to think about your next visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth - how exciting!
While
theme park tickets typically last quite a while before expiring, you still have plenty of great options even after their expiration. If you have wholly unused, expired Disneyland Resort theme park tickets, and are ready to purchase new tickets, then you'll want to
call a Cast Member at the Tickets line. They'll be able to help you apply the value of your expired tickets toward the purchase of new theme park tickets at the current price (as long as the new ticket purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original tickets).
If you were to purchase new multi-day theme park tickets today, they would not expire until January 12, 2025, as long as they remain unused, so you'd have quite a big window to plan your next trip! The only other thing in addition to purchasing your tickets would be to make
theme park reservations for each day of your trip.
There are so many exciting things happening at the Disneyland Resort this year, including the
Disney100 celebration. If you're trying to decide on when to go, I would keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for exciting news and upcoming events that might help you land on a good time to go. Personally, my family's favorite time to visit is around mid-November, when the Christmas decorations are up, and crowds tend to feel a bit lighter before the holiday rush.
Having said that, I don't think there's ever a "wrong" time to visit the Disneyland Resort!
Thanks again for your question, Heather. As you continue to plan for your next trip, make sure to come back and visit us here at planDisney with any other follow-up questions you think of.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
