Hello and welcome to planDisney, Aurora. It sounds like you're putting together some pretty great plans for your upcoming trip to the Disneyland Resort, and I'm delighted to help.
There's nothing quite like a visit to
Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. A tiki bar where the food is delicious and the drinks and elixirs are legendary. Can I get an Uh-Oa!? A must-do during your visit for sure. However, like the CDA (Child Detection Agency), I can neither confirm nor deny, nor find any official posted information about an upcoming closure.
So, I put on my Rescue Ranger hat and reached out to a friendly Cast Member who shared that Trader Sam's is scheduled to close for refurbishment starting March 2nd (subject to change). They did share that during the closure, a breakfast bar will be open from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and they were only able to see the details for dates as far out as the end of March. Of course, this is all subject to change and I recommend reaching out to a Cast Member at the
General Information line for assistance with your specific visit dates. While we don't know exactly when this exotic locale will fully reopen, I recommend keeping an eye on
Disney Parks Blog or on the
Trader Sam's page on the Disneyland website and using the "Check Available Days" button.
To get that similar tropical island-y feel during your visit, I highly recommend exploring
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room. My husband and I adore this attraction and it's an absolute must-do for us during every visit. The whimsical, vintage tropical vibe is immaculate. As an added bonus, you can enjoy your DOLE Whip (or float) from the
Tiki Juice Bar or
The Tropical Hideaway while you enjoy the Tiki Room. The swirl with two flavors is my typical go-to, and
mobile ordering on the
Disneyland app makes things a breeze. Be sure to say hello to José for me!
