Renting a wheelchair at DS. Taking boat to FQ for dinner. Do we need to give up the w/c before getting on the boat? If so, do we pay to rent another upon return to DS?

    Welcome back to planDisney Jaynee!
It sounds like you have a perfect plan in place to enjoy your dining experience at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter!

When taking the complimentary water taxi from Disney Springs to Port Orleans down the Sassagoula River, you will not need to transfer to a seat once on the boat because all ECVs and wheelchairs can be accommodated. The boat captain will assist you with getting onto the watercraft and ensure that you are locked in safe. If you decide to go dinner without your rented wheelchair, you can leave the wheelchair at the location you rented it from and when you return, just show your receipt, and they will provide you with another wheelchair (no extra charge) as long as the rental takes place the same day.

Please return should you have additional questions; we are excited to help you continue to plan for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

    Have a magical time!
