    we will be renting a van to get to San Diego but now the question is where do we return it and when we get back from the cruise where can we rent a new one to return to home. Is there any pick up and drop off services that you know of?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  I hope you stopping back by means that you have decided to book a Disney Cruise Line vacation!!  I know you won’t be disappointed!  It will definitely be an unforgettable vacation and the memories you make will last a lifetime – in fact, if you haven’t yet looked at the photo packages available, I do recommend looking into them so that you can be sure to bring home all the memories that you will make onboard!

    The Port of San Diego is very close (less than 5 miles) to the San Diego Airport, so my suggestion would be to look for a car rental company that has a location at or near the San Diego Airport.  If the rental company does not provide a shuttle to the port, then you could either grab a taxi or Uber from the rental car location OR you can shuttle to the airport and pick up Disney Cruise Line ground transfers there.  Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers to/from the San Diego airport but honestly, you can probably just as easily grab a taxi to get the short distance to the port for check-in and embarkation.
