Hi Jill,
Welcome to planDisney!
Looking at your arrival date, your trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort is getting closer! Of course,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is ADORABLE! I love the
Big Blue Pool and the family suites! I would imagine that you could shift some things around to fit that electric conveyance vehicle (ECV) in the suite. Let's consider some options.
First, if you did not book a wheelchair accessible suite, I suggest that you check availability to see if you could modify your reservation or request one upon check-in. If a wheelchair accessible suite is not available and you are assigned a regular suite, you could potentially fit the ECV in the bedroom or in the living room area. Since ECVs come in different sizes and I do not know how many people are staying in the suite, it's hard for me to definitively say but I do believe you could make it work. I also called to speak with a cast member who confirmed that you should be able to leave it with Bell Services overnight. They suggested that you just have it tagged with your name on it. Of course, double-check with the cast members in Bell Services when you arrive since procedures are subject to change.
As you start your countdown clock and assemble your crew, I suggest that you also take a look at the comprehensive
Services for Guests with Disabilities. My family has used a range of these services including
ECV Rentals. I also always remind folks to make good use of
advanced dining reservations and
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to save some time standing in lines for food.
Jill, I do hope you have been following the
Disney Parks Blog to keep an eye on the opening of Tiana's Bayou Adventure! I sent a wish to the Evening Star hoping that it will be open in time for your visit! We are
almost there!!!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
