    Renting a scooter

    Hi Joan,

Welcome to planDisney! We're glad to help you with the information you need for a magical Walt Disney World visit.

If you have mobility issues, an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) -- that's the fancy name for a scooter -- can be a life-saver for your Disney visit. ECVs are available for rent at Guest Services locations at the entrance of each theme park and at Disney Springs. These ECVs are for day use in the location of rental and cannot be transferred from park to park or to the resorts.

If you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort, you may want to consider a length-of-stay rental. Those are available through a number of third-party vendors. ScooterBug is Disney's featured provider. I used this service two or three times a few years ago after an accident left me unable to walk temporarily. It worked great. The ECV was waiting for me at Bell Services at my resort when I arrived. And then we returned it to Bell Services as we departed.

I rode the ECV onto Disney buses and even the Skyliner. Without it, I would have missed out on those vacations with friends and family.

Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Joan. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions for you as your vacation nears.

    Enjoy!
