Hi Jacqueline!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question before you arrive later this week! Are you all packed and ready to go? If you have one, I'd suggest bringing a stroller fan as temperatures can still be pretty warm this time of year. Another last minute item you may want to grab from home is a refillable water bottle. You'll find
refill stations around the parks or you can also pick up complimentary ice water at most Quick-Service locations!
Jacqueline, I've also rented items from third-party companies to use on my Walt Disney World Resort vacations - especially when my boys were a bit too big for a Pack 'n Play, but hadn't yet started sleeping in a "big kid" bed. Over the years, I have not had any issues with
items being delivered and held by
Bell Services. Before you leave for vacation, you may want to take a peek at the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules just to make sure that nothing being delivered is restricted at the parks or at your hotel. A common question I often see references using wagons in the parks and, unfortunately, those are not allowed. If you'd like to confirm your delivery with your hotel, you can always
call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and speak with a Cast Member to make sure there won't be any concerns with accepting your delivery.
Since it sounds like you're traveling with little ones, I can't say "goodbye" without offering a few additional tips that I've learned over the years as a mom of three.
- I'm always careful to plan some rest time into my days. It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of being at Walt Disney World Resort and build a packed itinerary, but I've found my boys make the most out of their time in the parks when they've had some "downtime" too. Around your hotel, you'll find pools and a variety of recreational activities (such as Arts & Crafts and Movies Under the Stars). These are great opportunities to have some quieter time throughout your stay.
- The Baby Care Centers may be just what you're looking for while in the parks! Don't let the name fool you, these helpful centers are great for toddlers and preschoolers too. Here you'll find feeding areas, large changing tables, a small seating area, and some kid essentials for purchase such as baby food, medicines, diapers, and more.
- Slow down and enjoy the "little moments." We captured some great pictures of each of my boys the first time they saw Cinderella Castle - priceless! You'll find the parades and shows very entertaining and my kids love to dance and sing with their favorite characters. There are also some great play areas in the parks that often get overlooked as families are busy heading from attraction to attraction. These are wonderful opportunities for little ones to stretch their legs and burn off some energy! One of my favorites is found inside Magic Kingdom Park at Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
Jacqueline, I hope you and your family enjoy a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort! If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!
See ya real soon!
