Hi Shani! Welcome back to planDisney. It's nice to see you here again!
Having visited Walt Disney World Resort a couple of times with a broken foot, I always encourage my friends to rent an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) if they think they might need one on their Disney visits. There is a lot of walking, plus the heat and salty foods can cause joints to swell and be more uncomfortable than you might expect. It is
not magical to be uncomfortable or in pain, so do what's best for you so you can soak up all the magical moments!
I'm happy to confirm that yes, you may charge your ECV at the ECV & Wheelchair Rental locations. It's a good idea to arrive with a fully charged ECV if you are bringing your own or a non-Disney rental, but if your vehicle needs a little "pixie dust power," you'll be welcome to visit those locations for a recharge.
Shani, if you'll be renting from the parks, be sure to read the
ECV & Wheelchair Rental guidance carefully. They are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. If you prefer to rent your own ECV for the duration of your visit, ScooterBug is a Disney partner, and they can be reached by calling (800) 726-8284. Their website is linked at the bottom of Disney's ECV & Wheelchair Rentals page. I also recommend reading the
Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities webpage to see the attraction access information for each ride at the Disneyland Resort. This will help you plan for transferring from your ECV throughout the day.
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! If you have any further questions as you count down the days, please come back and see us. Have so much fun on your visit!
Wishing you much magic,
Robyn
