@ rental cars, B4, is it possible to rent from MCO & return a car to a rental place @ the Port & vice versa @ the end? Also, is there a shuttle from point A-B? I don't want to use the WDW bus I prefer to drive myself in my own time. Or cab? want 2

    Hi Jill,

Yes, you certainly can.  You can rent a vehicle from MCO on a "rent here, leave there" (or one-way rental).  Sometimes it is a bit more costly to do it this way, but if you shop around and try a few different car rental agencies you will probably be able to find a fairly good deal.  I rented a car from Avis at MCO and returned it at Port Canaveral, they had a complimentary shuttle take us to the port and then we boarded our Disney Cruise with ease (the car rental agencies are not physically located at the port itself, but they are fairly close, within a few miles and most have complimentary shuttles to and from the port).  I did the same for our return trip when we had finished our cruise and I must say it was a very easy process and I would do the same again next time I cruise out of Port Canaveral.  Just make sure that the rental agency that you rent your car from does not have a one-way fee associated with it as some of them do and this really makes the rental quite expensive.  I personally wouldn't suggest a cab, it is quite a long drive from MCO to Port Canaveral and they charge a minimum of $124.00 (for one-way) or $219.00 (for a return).  If you can't find a decent car rental, then I would suggest a shuttle service that goes on a regular basis from MCO to Port Canaveral and back again and their prices depend on how many are in your party (the more people, the less it will cost you depending on which shuttle bus company you use), but this is a good option if you can't rent a car. Have a wonderful cruise.

    Best wishes,
