Can you rent a wheelchair at riverside resort or Disney Springs. Also read where they might have a dessert party coming to Animal Kingdom. Tks in advance for your answer. Keep up the great job y'all do.

Hi Michael, and thank you for your kind words! It’s a true pleasure to help Guests like you plan unforgettable vacations and special moments, and we love spreading pixie dust far and wide.

Wheelchair Rentals are available at the Walt Disney World theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Rental wheelchairs may not be removed from the location where they were rented; for example, if you rent a wheelchair at Disney Springs, you must return it before leaving Disney Springs. If later in the same day you return to Disney Springs, a theme park, or a water park, you simply need to show your receipt and you’ll be provided another wheelchair, pending availability. Rentals can be done on a daily basis or for the length of your stay. For current pricing and an interactive map of pick-up locations, please take a look at the Wheelchair Rentals web page.

Walt Disney World’s rental wheelchairs are not available at the resort hotels, including Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. If you’d like to have a wheelchair for use around the resort, I encourage you to bring your own or look into a rental through Disney’s featured providers. You’ll find names, web links, and phone numbers for these providers toward the bottom of the Wheelchair Rentals web page.

The Rivers of Light Dessert Party is a brand new opportunity to enjoy delicious desserts, snacks, and drinks before being escorted to a reserved viewing area for the spectacular Rivers of Light show. For all the details, please visit the event’s website or call (407) WDW-DINE. I just love this show, which showcases the beauty and stories of Disney’s Animal Kingdom in a breathtaking way.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
