Can I rent a wheelchair from my resort and use if for my entire stay? Or are they only available at the parks and have to be turned in each night?

    Hi Emily!

Thanks for sending your questions to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Wheelchair rentals are not available in the resorts. They are only available at the Disney Parks and Disney Springs and the wheelchairs must be returned daily. You can however save time and money by pre-paying for a wheelchair for the length of your stay. In other words, when you first rent the wheelchair, you can pay for multiple days and then just present your rental receipt daily to obtain a wheelchair at each location. Last year, my husband needed a wheelchair due to a fractured ankle and I found that the best thing for him was to rent a scooter or ECV from one of the Disney Featured Providers, Buena Vista Scooter Rental. The great thing about it was that the scooter was delivered to our resort prior to our arrival, we were able to board the bus transportation with it and at the end of our stay we left the scooter at the front desk for pick-up. Hope this helps!

Did you know?: Staying at a Disney Resort comes with lots of benefits. One of my favorites is the Extra Magic Hours where Guests can enjoy the parks before they open to the general public and after they close to the general public. Additionally, Disney Resort Guests can make their FastPass+ selections up to 60 days before check-in when you have a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation!  Be sure to download your My Disney Experience App for your smart phone!

It has been a real pleasure assisting you! If there are any other questions you may have, please feel free to send them my way!
