Hi, Brenda!
I am a big proponent of
renting strollers for kids. There is a ton of walking and those little legs get tired! It does get tough around age 7, though, on whether or not our kids will use a stroller or not.
Here is the great thing about stroller rental at Walt Disney World. You can simply rent by the day. If at
Magic Kingdom (a smaller park) you don't need one, don't rent one. However, at a large park like
Epcot, you may decide that you need a stroller that day, especially if it is hot and sunny.
If your child does not normally use a stroller any more at home, start without getting one. If you find the walking is just too much, stop by a stroller rental location and pick one up. Make it a day by day decision and see how it goes.
With or without a stroller, remember that your little Mouseketeer could use a nice mid-day break to relax in your resort room or take a splash in the pool. My kids are teenagers and they still like to head back to our room after lunch, then they are all energized for a night of magic!
Wishing your family a vacation of endless pixie dust and fun!
Cathy
