If we rent a stroller and leave the park and come back later in the day, do we have to pay another whole day rental for the stroller?

Hi Tia! Renting strollers at the Walt Disney World parks is very easy. The cost is $15 a day for a single stroller or $31 daily for the double strollers. You can also save money by getting a length of stay multi day rental. For the single stroller it is $13 daily and for the double it is $27.

You can rent a stroller in one park and then go to another park the same day and just show your receipt to pick up one at the new location. This is the same if you rent a stroller in one park and then come back later in the day to that same park. It is important to save that receipt so you won't have any issues.

Please note that the strollers you rent in the parks cannot be taken back to your resort or even out of the park at all including the parking lots. If you need a stroller for more then park use then I suggest you bring one from home or use one of the local rental companies. Disney recommends several companies:
    Magic Strollers: 866-866-6177
    Orlando Stroller Rentals: 800-281-0884
    Kingdom Strollers: 407-2715301
These are the most recent numbers and they will have multiple choices for you to examine. They will deliver and pick up from the Disney resorts.

Whether you rent a stroller from a park, bring your own, or rent from a local company it is highly suggested you bring something to decorate the stroller so you can identify it when parked among the many others outside the attractions.
