If I rent a scooter at one park on a park hopper. Do I have to pay agsin at the second park??

    Hiya John,

Welcome to planDisney! I hope you are looking forward to your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. I am honored to be a part of your planning journey, so please feel free to come back and visit us if you need anything else.

Great question about Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) Rentals! As you have alluded to, ECVs cannot be removed from the location they were rented from, so if you have a Park Hopper ticket, you would need to return your ECV at your first park and then pick up a new one at the park you are “hopping to.” That said, rentals are transferrable, meaning you only have to pay the rental fee once daily. Make sure to hold on to your receipt and present it to the Cast Member at the rental location! I also recommend taking a picture of it so you have a backup.

Before I send you on your merry way, John, I wanted to remind you that ECVs are available on a first-come, first-served basis (even when park hopping). I haven’t heard of this happening before, but there is a chance that when you hop over to a second park, an ECV may not be available for you to rent at the second park. Since rental availability is not guaranteed, you may want to look into getting an ECV rental through Scooterbug if you are able to. They offer ECV rentals for the entire length of your stay, so you won’t have to make a daily reservation, and you can take it with you from park to park.

I hope this was helpful, John. Please come back and see us if you need anything else at all.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
