Hi there, Robert!
It’s so nice to see you here at planDisney - thanks for stopping by with your question about renting a scooter/ECV. It sounds like your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just around the corner, so let’s dive right in!
Guests requiring an ECV or wheelchair have a couple of convenient options. You can rent directly from a third-party operator, like Disney's official mobility provider, ScooterBug, or you can rent an ECV or wheelchair right at the theme parks and Disney Springs. Upon entering any theme park, simply look to the right-hand side for the designated rental location.
Here’s where you’ll find ECV rentals at each location:
- Magic Kingdom: ECV Rentals near the Main Entrance
- EPCOT: ECV Rentals at both the Main Entrance and International Gateway
- Hollywood Studios: Oscar's Super Service
- Animal Kingdom: Garden Gate Gifts
- Blizzard Beach
- Typhoon Lagoon: Singapore Sal's
To rent an ECV, Guests must be at least 18 years old and provide a photo ID for age verification. Rentals are first-come, first-served, and a refundable deposit may be required. If you’re planning to park hop, just show your rental receipt at the next park to pick up another ECV (subject to availability).
Navigating the parks with an ECV does take a little planning, but it’s definitely manageable. If you’re heading to an attraction, there will be clear signage indicating whether you can remain in the ECV or if you'll need to transfer. Cast Members are always nearby to assist and answer questions.
I hope this helps you feel more prepared for your trip! If you need any other tips, just ask - planDisney is always here to help make your visit practically perfect in every way!
Bye for now,
Candace
