Welcome to planDisney, Diana!
It looks like you're just one week away from
The Most Magical Place on Earth. Can you believe that you're
almost there? In my experience, Walt Disney World Resort always feels a bit more magical when visited with those you love most, so you're sure to share countless memorable moments with your mom that you'll cherish for years to come! You'll be on Main Street before you know it, Diana, so let's get right to your questions.
There's so much to see and do throughout Walt Disney World Resort, so it's a great idea to rent your mom an ECV during your visit. With it, she won't have to miss a moment of the magic! Fortunately, you'll find ECVs available for daily rental near the entrance to all of Walt Disney World's theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. If you were hoping for a rental for your entire length of stay and are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, Disney's Featured Provider, ScooterBug, will even deliver the ECV to your hotel. For more information on ECV rentals, you'll want to follow
this link.
If you're looking to bypass standby queues during your vacation, you're my kind of Mouseketeer! Walt Disney World's
Lightning Lane Passes are available for purchase by date in three different iterations: Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows Guests to bypass the standby queue for select attractions in the theme park for which the Multi Pass is purchased. When you make the purchase, you'll be prompted to select three attractions and return times in your selected theme park from those that are currently available. Once you have redeemed your first attraction on the day of your visit, you'll be able to select another experience. This magical trend will continue as long as availability remains! While you will choose one theme park at the time of purchase, if your theme park ticket has park hopping capabilities, you will be able to make a selection in a different theme park at no additional charge once you have redeemed your first. To redeem your Lightning Lanes you'll simply scan in at the attraction's dedicated Lightning Lane entrance during your return window.
- Lightning Lane Single Pass is exclusively available for Walt Disney World's most popular attractions in each theme park. Like Multi Pass, you'll purchase this separately from your theme park ticket and redeem it at the attraction's entrance within a certain return window, but unlike Single Pass, each purchase is only valid for one-time use on one specific attraction. It's also worth noting that Guests are limited to two Single Pass purchases per day.
- Lightning Lane Premier Pass is purchased for a specific theme park and allows Guests to bypass standby queues for all attractions available through the Lightning Lane system (both Multi Pass and Single Pass) without the time constraints of return windows.
- All three Lightning Lane options can be purchased in advance, and Guests of Disney Resort hotels (and a few select others) are eligible to make these purchases 7 days before check-in for the entire length of their stay. All other Guests become eligible 3 days before their park visit.
I hope this helps you prepare for your visit, Diana, and that your vacation is
practically perfect! If you need any further clarification on the topics above, feel free to
reach back out. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
