Welcome to planDisney, Marice. My husband and I love how accessible the magic is to everyone at the Disneyland Resort.
Renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) is a great way to make the parks accessible for your visit. You can absolutely use the ECV at both parks, through Downtown Disney District and at the Disneyland Resort Hotels. I recommend checking out the
Services for Guests with Mobility Needs on the Disneyland site. There's a lot of great information from parking to
navigating attractions during your visit. While many of the queues at both parks can accommodate ECVs and wheelchairs, there are some older queues that may not be accessible. During a recent visit with my aunt, we utilized the
Location Return Time option for some of the attractions in Fantasyland, and it worked like magic.
If you're planning on renting your ECV from the resort, keep in mind that only daily rentals are offered and available on a first-come, first-served basis. For this reason, I recommend arriving early to secure your ECV rental. If you happen to be visiting for multiple days, you might consider renting from a private mobility rental company in the local area, ScooterBug. They offer rentals for your entire stay, will deliver your ECV to your hotel and then pick up your rental at the end of your trip. We used this service for my aunt and it was so convenient to have the ECV waiting for her when we arrived at the hotel.
It looks like you'll be visiting during
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. This is one of my favorite times of the year. Having the giant Mickey pumpkin greet you in Town Square as you enter Disneyland makes me so happy. Be sure to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for updates on all of the festivities as we get closer to the spooky season. You might even find a digital guide to all of the haunting happenings in the
Disneyland app during your visit.
Marice, I hope this is helpful as you're putting your plans together for your frighteningly fantastic visit. Please come back to visit us with any other questions that you might have. Until then, here's wishing you a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
