Howdy Craig!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. I see that you are going to be arriving at the Most Magical Place on Earth towards the end of February. I absolutely love this time of the year at the parks and resorts, it’s always a magical time just before the start of Spring.
I see you’re looking for some assistance with medical equipment to ensure that you are able to enjoy your time to the fullest while at the resort. While I do not have any personal experience with renting medical equipment, I was able to do some research, and with the help of my fellow panelist,I think I may be able to direct you to where you can get the assistance you need.
I’m happy to share that
Walt Disney World offers guest health services provided by
AdventHealth. They offer a wide range of services to guests, including urgent care, AdventHealth Telehealth, in-room care, prescription delivery, and medical equipment delivery. I spoke with an AdventHealth care team member, and they informed me that you will need to contact them in advance of your arrival to discuss your individual needs so that they can ensure they provide you with the proper medical equipment. You can call them at (407) 939-7480 between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm Eastern Time, 7 days a week.
I did additional research and found that some companies say they rent lift chairs, but I cannot guarantee that they are approved to deliver to the Walt Disney World Resorts. If that is something that you would like to consider, I recommend contacting your resort to see if there are any restrictions. You can call Ticket and Hotel Reservations at (407) 934-7639 between 7:00 am and 11:00 pm Eastern Time, 7 days a week, and they will connect you to your resort so you can speak with a cast member.
Craig, I sincerely hope that you are able to get everything you need so that you can have a magical time during your trip. If you have any further questions, please stop back by, and my friends and I here at
planDisney will be happy to help.
See ya real soon,
Robert
