How do I rent a golf cart ahead of time for reservation at Fort Wilderness

Howdy Cynthia, and welcome to planDisney! You’re in for a rootin’ tootin’ good time at Fort Wilderness. It’s one of my favorite places to stay at Disney World! So I’d be happy to chat about renting a golf cart, which is such a fun part of the Fort Wilderness experience. It’s a great way to explore the campground and check out everyone’s campsite decorations. And there’s sure to be lots of festive holiday flair when you visit in November!

To rent a golf cart, call the phone number listed under Reservations on the Golf Cart Rental page. Guests need to be 18 years of age or older to book a golf cart over the phone, and drivers must be at least 16 years of age with a valid driver's license.  Advance reservations are highly recommended since there are a limited number of golf carts available. Fort Wilderness typically has both 4-seat and 6-seat  carts, so think about what size would be ideal for your crew before you call.

My family likes to bring decorations for our golf cart, which is both fun and functional. Having some flair on your golf cart makes it a lot easier to find in the parking areas around the campground. We usually hang battery-operated lights, but I’ve also seen other guests tie lightweight decorations on the roof, like Disney character pool floats! Just be careful not to damage the cart (I’ve found painter’s tape and string are pretty good for this).

During your stay at Fort Wilderness, I definitely recommend carving out resort time to enjoy the campground. There are so many fun activities. My family could spend our whole vacation here without stepping foot into the theme parks! Some of our must-dos include dancing, singing, and roasting marshmallows at Chip ’n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long, visiting the horses at Tri-Circle-D Ranch, and watching the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach (check the My Disney Experience app to see what time it stops in front of Fort Wilderness).

I’m wishing you a magical stay at Fort Wilderness in November! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to mosey on back to planDisney.
