Hi Paul!
Adventure is out there and so is your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Thanks for stopping by planDisney as you prepare for your trip.
Paul, you'll find Walt Disney World Resort to be very accommodating for guests requiring mobility assistance. At each of the theme parks and Disney Springs, you can rent an
Electronic Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) or
wheelchair. Current pricing for ECV rentals is $65 per day plus an additional deposit (prices subject to change) and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. ECV rentals must be returned as you exit each park or Disney Springs. If you are park hopping, you can use your receipt to secure another ECV when you arrive at your next destination that same day without having to pay an additional fee. If you are interested in renting an ECV that you would be able to use throughout your stay including around your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, Walt Disney World Resort has partnered with a third-party company, Scooterbug, as a featured provider.
As you continue to plan for your trip, you can find
additional information for guests requiring mobility assistance on the Walt Disney World Resort website including information about accessing rides and using Disney Resort transportation. Disney also offers
Disability Access Service which may be available depending on your specific needs.
Paul, before you know it you'll be giving Mickey a great big hug and enjoying all of the magic of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation! Don't forget that you can start
making dining reservations and booking special experiences in the
Enchanting Extras Collection 60 days before your arrival. If you're able to grab a dinner reservation at
'Ohana, I highly recommend it! This is on our must-do list each visit as it not only features delicious food but also offers views of
Magic Kingdom Park and
Happily Ever After.
You've got a friend in me here at planDisney and I hope you stop by to see us again with any other vacation planning questions you have!
Cheers,
Kristi
