How do I rent an electric scooter while staying on your property and visiting the parks?

    Hi Lynn,

Thank you so much for coming to planDisney with your Walt Disney World planning question. I am happy to provide some information on renting an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) at Walt Disney World.

On one of our Walt Disney World vacations, we traveled with someone who had mobility challenges. Although she was hesitant at first, a few days into the trip we rented an ECV for her while visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom. She was so pleased with how much more enjoyable it made her day that we rented one for her every day for the rest of the trip!

You can indeed rent an ECV at Walt Disney World. They are available at the theme parks as well as at the water parks and Disney Springs. The location for renting an ECV is typically quite close to the entrance. Please do note that if you rent an ECV at Walt Disney World, it must stay at the location that you rented it. For instance, if you rent a ECV at EPCOT, it must stay at EPCOT; however, you can take your receipt for your ECV rental to another theme park that day to pick up another ECV (subject to availability) without having to pay again.

If you are interested in having an ECV that you can keep with you and take from location to location while at Walt Disney World, I suggest checking out ScooterBug. ScooterBug a Disney Featured Provider, and more information about them can be found on the Walt Disney World ECV page that I linked earlier.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Lynn! Have a great time planning your magical vacation, and please do feel free to come back to planDisney with any further questions.
