Hey there, hi there, ho there, Jennifer. You're as welcome as can be at planDisney!
Your visit to "
The Most Magical Place on Earth" is just around the corner. You must be getting so excited - and who can blame you? With lovely spring weather and the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival going on through May 27, 2024, it is a great time to visit!
With a kick scooter at Walt Disney World Resort, one could zip from a ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to an Individual Lighting Lane at
TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom in no time. You'd probably go so fast that you'd pass
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen and only read "Skipper Canteen" before passing Cinderella Castle. With speed like that, you might even harness Genie's phenomenal cosmic power!
Alas, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, Jennifer -- kick scooters of any kind are on the list of Prohibited Items in the
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules. This is a real bummer and I feel you -- my feet are never more tired than after a day in the Disney Parks.
For this reason and others, I plan my park must-do list ahead of time - what rides to start the day with, what shows to see, what snacks to eat - so that I don't end up backtracking and making my feet more tired than needed. This also includes strategically visiting attractions that give me ample time to sit and rest. Here are a list of my favorite long rides at each Walt Disney World Resort park:
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress
Liberty Square Riverboat
Walt Disney World Railroad
EPCOTSpaceship Earth
Living with the Land
Journey Into Imagination With Figment
Disney's Hollywood StudiosVoyage of the Little Mermaid
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Disney's Animal KingdomKilimanjaro Safaris
Na'vi River Journey
This list didn't even include the numerous shows throughout the parks - they are a great place to stop, rest... and learn! My
planDisney bestie Susan loves
The American Adventure in World Showcase at
EPCOT, while I prefer
The Hall of Presidents in
Magic Kingdom. And you can't go wrong with
It's Tough to be a Bug! in Animal Kingdom.
Jennifer, if you visit Walt Disney World for multiple days, enjoy a rest day at your hotel between park days. My family needs these to reenergize for another full park day! And I highly recommend making time for a table service meal each day - perhaps a stop at Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen? The off-menu Pao de Queijo/Brazilian Cheese Bread is amazing!
I hope this information helps, Jennifer. Please visit again with any other questions. I'm happy to help!
See you in the parks,
Melissa
