Hello, Amanda! Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel and asking your question!
Since you'll be staying at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, you will be mere footsteps away from both parks and the Downtown Disney District is practically on your doorstep. Even though you will be so close to the action, I absolutely recommend having a stroller for little ones. As you are probably aware, the Disneyland Resort only rents single
strollers and they can only be used in the theme parks. So, your best option would be to rent from a third-party company. There are many to choose from in the southern California area, but I've heard of people using City Stroller Rentals in the past that were satisfied with their service. Just be sure that whatever company you choose will deliver directly to
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa and confirm where you will pick it up and return it at the end of your trip.
Since you'll be using an unfamiliar stroller, I suggest bringing something to tie on to it to help you identify the stroller when you leave it in stroller parking at the parks. A ribbon works really well, or you can purchase a balloon so you can see your stroller from a distance. A quick and funny tip from the last time we tied a balloon to our stroller...make sure you put enough slack on the balloon string so the balloon is floating
above your head. We spent an entire afternoon once pushing the stroller with a balloon (that was tied with a really tight knot) that kept bopping us in the face! It was hysterical, but definitely a learning moment!
I hope this helps. Please return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you may have!
