Greetings, Diana, and welcome to planDisney! The
stroller rentals at the Disneyland Resort add a lot of convenience to a park visit with little ones. I've rented a double stroller many times over the years for my two kiddos.
You're welcome to visit the
stroller rental location (east of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance) and secure a stroller for your party in the morning. I suggest bringing it with you inside the park and leaving it at a designated stroller parking location near the area where you plan to meet the rest of your party. That way, the others in your group can simply enter the park upon arrival.
Please make sure to keep your receipt. If you encounter any problems with your stroller throughout the day, you can stop by a replacement center (listed on the receipt) for assistance.
It's great that you'll be at the park early, Diana. The first few hours after the park opens are extra fun because the wait times are typically shorter than other times of day. My family loves being in the park in the morning. You might want to choose a few attractions to experience on your own before the rest of the group arrives. Or, see if they might be able to adjust their plans a bit to take advantage of being there in the morning, too.
Since you'll have little ones with you, I thought I'd share a few tips based on my visits with my family:
- Make sure to take breaks often, especially after waiting in a long line. Mickey's Toontown and Tom Sawyer Island are two great places for kids to lead the way and explore.
- The Baby Care Center has toddler-sized toilets and a vending machine with items available for purchase such as wipes, sunscreen, over-the-counter medication, and more.
- We love ordering food on the Disneyland mobile app. That way, we can plan ahead and skip lines at mealtimes. The app is also great for checking wait times and height restrictions for various attractions.
Lastly, here are a few stroller tips that I'll leave you with:
- If possible, bring something to tie to the stroller handle to make it a little easier to spot among all the parked strollers. We've used a bandana or brightly colored ribbon in the past.
- Please leave your stroller only in the designated areas. Just look for stroller parking signs. A stroller that is left in a non-designated location may be moved by a Cast Member.
- Consider bringing a small blanket or travel pillow for each kid to help them get more comfortable when they're tired, since the rented strollers are made from plastic and don't recline.
