    Can you rent digital underwater cameras at Castaway Cay and St. Thomas? Cost? How do you get the pictures?

    For the cost of renting, I suggest purchasing an underwater digital camera -- unless, of course, you're considering it for professional purposes. You can purchase the disposable underwater cameras on board or on Castaway Cay, and I'm sure there are shops on St. Thomas as well.

    I just purchased an underwater digital camera through Abe's of Maine (with a Deal Pulp coupon I purchased). The camera is regularly $79, but I paid $54 in total. It only goes down to 10 feet, but that is plenty deep enough as my children will just want to get photos of the stingrays and each other anyway. I think an underwater digital camera makes for a great pre-cruise gift or surprise in the stateroom -- even the disposable kind.  Of course, purchasing them on land is going to be less expensive. Then, you don't have to worry about acquiring one on your trip or the photos afterward.  I hope that helps you plan.
