I am going to rent a car when I return from my cruise on Sunday morning (about 7:30 AM?). I think I will use Budget. Can they get me to there location or should I take a taxi. What time should I reserve the car for (on-line). Will it take a long time?

    Hi Rick!

Budget runs a shuttle bus between the cruise terminal and their location in Port Canaveral / Cocoa Beach.  Based on my experience, it typically runs about every 20 minutes when there is a ship with passengers waiting!  I would recommend reserving the car for 9:30 or 10:00, especially if you plan on having your last breakfast onboard the ship before departing.  I have never had a problem showing up a little early or a little late at a car rental place, so I don't think the exact time matters.

I have rented with Budget and Hertz in Port Canaveral and I think both are fine.  Hertz is a little closer to the cruise terminal, but I think that only provides a small advantage in that there shuttles can get to and from the ship more quickly.  I usually rent from one or the other based on price.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
