If we rent a car, can we park at the parks? If we have reservation at hotel, how long can we park at that hotel?

Welcome to planDisney, John! I’m happy to see that you have a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort in a few weeks! Thanks for sending us your planning question!

If you’re a guest at a Disney Resort hotel, you get to enjoy quite a few benefits. One of those benefits is complimentary parking at all four theme parks. You can also leave your rental car parked at your Disney Resort hotel, if you decide to use Disney’s transportation around the resort. Please keep in mind, there is a nightly parking fee at every Disney Resort hotel. Those prices are subject to change.

To get in and out of the lot, all you have to do is tap your MagicBand to a sensor when you arrive at the entrance. It’s usually the right side of the entrance. If you find that the right side of the gate is blocked off, all you have to do when the security guard greets you, is tap your band to a similar sensor and you’re good to go.

John, on the day you check out of your Disney Resort hotel, you can leave your rental car parked at your hotel, as long as you don’t leave it overnight. Just let the security guard know you will be back for your vehicle later in the day.

Before your visit at the end of this month, take a look at the Disney Parks Blog for an update on all the happenings at the parks. The blog is also a great place to find out about all the new activities and experiences available to you and your family all over the Walt Disney World Resort.

Feel free to come back to see us if you have any more planning questions! Helping you with the details of your next magical visit is our pleasure!
