Ahoy, Amanda!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question about
Castaway Cay - my favorite stop on a Disney Cruise! There's nothing better than stepping off the ship onto Disney's private island for a day of fun in the sun.
The cabanas on Castaway Cay can be a tough reservation to secure, and book extremely quickly. Concierge guests and Platinum Castaway Club members are able to book up to 120 days in advance, and are some of the first to reserve these private getaways. When your reservation window opens, if you see cabanas are still available, grab one quickly!
Don't lose hope if you're not one of the lucky ones to snag one of the coveted cabanas. Reservations can be cancelled up to three days before your sailing - there's a chance one may still become available! You can also try stopping by the
Port Adventures desk once you're onboard to check availability. I've got my fingers crossed for you!
The private cabanas come with lots of amenities, including a fridge stocked with unlimited soda and water. You'll also receive a basket of snacks (chips, granola bars), and fresh fruit. For lunch, it's just a short walk to
Cookies Too BBQ. There are cabana hosts available to give you a ride in a cart if needed. Restrooms are also a short walk from the cabanas. Cabanas 1-17 are located on the Family Beach, with 1-8 closest to the restrooms. At Serenity Bay (the adults-only beach), cabana 18 is the closest to the restrooms.
I hope this information is helpful! Best of luck to you - I hope your dreams of spending the day in a private cabana come true! Sprinkling pixie dust your way - Diane W.
