Hi there Kathy,
Thanks for floating your question by us. I'd be delighted to offer some assistance as you prepare for your splashtacular day at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Surfs up!
No boogie boards, surfboards, or other devices to "hang ten" are permitted at the
Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool. Inner tubes from home or nearby Castaway Creek are also prohibited in the waves. If you're interested in catching the big one from a board, consider the
surfing programs offered on select mornings before park opening. Also, be sure to take advantage of the complimentary life jackets for a smooth ride through those epic 6-foot swells. Even the best of us can wipe out from time to time, so safety first!
I hope this is helpful, Kathy! Before I go, I'll share a few tips for making the most of your water park day.
*On November 4, 2024, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will close for annual maintenance, but no worries!
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will be open to keep the good vibes rolling.
*Towels are complimentary for those staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Offsite guests can rent towels for a small fee.
*
Parking is complimentary for all water park visitors! Bus transportation typically requires transferring at
Disney Springs or
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, so driving a personal vehicle or taking a ride share is usually the most efficient way to travel to a water park.
*My family loves the sweet treats unique to the water parks. My son can't resist the mini donuts, while my daughter prefers to dig into a Sand Pail Sundae.
Thanks again for stopping by planDisney, Kathy. Best wishes for a fantastic vacation, and we'll
sea ya real soon!
Betsy
