To rent a boat at Disney, do you have to be staying at one of the resorts where boat rentals are located? We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside which doesn't, as far as I know, have self drive boat rentals. Can we just go to the resorts that do?

    Hi Alan,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question, my fellow Canadian!

Some of my fondest memories from when I visited Walt Disney World Resort as a kid was zipping around the Seven Seas Lagoon with my mom after renting Sea Raycers at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

I’m happy to say that Guests staying at any Disney Resort Hotel can enjoy Motorized Boat Rentals on a “first come, first served” basis. So you can absolutely travel from Disney’s Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, to any Resort that does have a marina in order to get your boating fix.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
