Can we rent an approved fire pit for our campsite at Wilderness Campground?

    Howdy Carla,

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is one of my favorite places to stay in all of Walt Disney World.  It's tucked back, out of the way, and totally surrounded by nature.  Over the years, it has really captured a special place in my heart, and I can NOT wait to be back there!

Having a fire at Fort Wilderness sounds like loads of fun, but as you've already heard, all fire pits must be completely enclosed and approved before use.  Although Fort Wilderness does not rent this units on property, I was able to locate a rental company, FloridaCamperRental.com that offers a "Disney-Approved" FirePit for $40.  Perhaps you could contact them directly for more information.

If all else fails (and if it works out), please be sure to visit Chip and Dale's Campfire Sing-a-Long and movie under the stars during your stay!  Check with the Outpost for an updated schedule once you arrive!  This is a MUST DO during your stay... and they even have Smore's kits available!  YUM!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
