Magical Greetings, Ana!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. Ana,
Disney's BoardWalk Villas are one of my favorite places to stay when visiting Walt Disney World. In fact, we will be staying there in March ourselves! Not just because of the amenities of the Resort, but I also love the views of Crescent Lake and accesibility to both
EPCOT and
Disney's Hollywood Studios.Ana, I double checked with Guest Services who let me know that refurbishments are currently expected to continue through May of 2025 at the BoardWalk Resort, though this is subject to change. So there will be some construction taking place during your visit.
In my experience, when the Resorts are magically transforming, you may hear or see a bit of construction noise or areas during the day. However, Disney does its best to limit disruptions to Guests, and typically construction does not take place at night. Additionally, they always try to time the construction areas so that there are alternate amenities available. For example, if a pool is undergoing refurbishment, they offer an alternative pool to enjoy.
Our family stayed in one of the newly renovated BoardWalk rooms in 2024, and it was transformed into a delightfully refreshing new look. Bright and airy, with beautiful new decor, and plenty of space for our family of five, it was pixie dusted indeed. I believe with construction still underway through May of this year, the team is still adding finishing touches to make the Resort practically perfect in every way, but many of the rooms are complete.
One of my favorite things about the one-bedroom Villas and larger at the BoardWalk is that you have a home-sweet-home base while being immersed in the magic of Disney. With a full-sized kitchen full of gadgets and gizmos a plenty, enough room for sleeping and gathering for family time, and in-room laundry so that you can pack less and have more room to take home Disney souveniers, it really makes family vacations so much easier.
Now when you are visiting the BoardWalk, I recommend picking up a pastry from
Carousel Coffee and a cup of Joffrey's, while enjoying the morning sounds and views of the BoardWalk. It is a lovely way to think of all the happiest things (it's the same as having wings) and a great way to get some zip-a-dee-do-dah in your step ahead of your park day.
I hope this helps you, Ana! If you have any further Disney Vacation Club questions, soar back here to see me. I'll be right here, at the second star to the right, and straight on til morning!
Wishing you a magical day!
Keri
