EPCOT, and
Fantasia Gardens Fairways & Miniature Golf. This part of Walt Disney World is also my favorite for a morning run--there's a lot to see and it makes for a fun outdoor workout.
Dina, all of the Walt Disney World
Resort Hotels are on a regular schedule of refurbishments and renovations to keep them in tip-top shape. A major refurbishment started at the BoardWalk early in 2024 and the pictures and videos I've seen from Guests staying in the newly updated rooms look amazing! When I visited most recently in June, there was still scaffolding in front of one section of the resort and work was actively happening.
I spoke with Cast Members at the resort, who said there is not currently a published completion date for the renovations. As there's still quite a bit of time before your January 2025 vacation, I imagine the work will be close to wrapping up if it isn't completely finished already! You can always check the
Disney Parks Blog or the
BoardWalk Villas page--both are great sources for the most up-to-date information.
Also nearing completion is the long-awaited
Cake Bake Shop Restaurant by Gwendolyn Rogers. This lakeside spot will offer breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, and desserts and cocktails for Guests. I'm maybe even more excited about the adjacent
Cake Bake Shop Bakery--I'm always ready to road-test more Disney desserts!
