Hi Abbigail,
Thanks for dropping in at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Floridian and Walt Disney World annual passholder.
We've been
Florida Resident passholders for more than 20 years and always take advantage of the monthly payment plan that is only available to those of us who live in the Sunshine State. The first time you buy an annual pass and sign up for the monthly payment plan, you do need to make a down payment and the rest of the cost is spread over the coming months.
If you renew any time from 60 days before expiration until 30 days after the expiration date, no additional down payment is required. Your monthly payments simply continue. (The amount is adjusted accordingly.)
There's also a discount for renewing. And it's easy. Simply sign into your
My Disney Experience account and click on Renew My Passes in the Tickets and Passes section. You will see the cost there and confirm within a few minutes. Plus, you won't have to visit Guest Services; you simply will continue experiencing all the
passholder benefits and discounts without any hassle.
Because of the current
enhanced health and safety measures in the theme parks, annual passholders -- like all guests -- must make reservations to enter a theme park using the
Disney Park Pass system. You can make up to three reservations at a time if you are not staying at a select Walt Disney World resort. Of course, if you are enjoying one of the fabulous resorts, you can make park admission reservations for the entire length of your stay.
The
Annual Passes: Know Before You Go section of the website has all the most up-to-date information for you as the parks continue the phased reopening.
I hope that helps, Abbigail. Please let us know if you have any other questions about your annual pass or about visiting Walt Disney World in the coming months. Enjoy!
Wilma
