    When renewing magic keys, can you only renew the key you have? Or can you upgrade? What if the one you want says “only available for renewal”? Can you upgrade with those?

    Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! 

    Upgrading your Disneyland Resort Magic Key can be a great option if you are looking to enjoy fewer blockout dates, higher discounts on food and merchandise and added parking benefits. 

    Currently, Magic Keyholders have the opportunity to renew during their renewal window (up to 30 days prior to the pass expiration date.) This can be done via the Disneyland Mobile App or on the Disneyland Resort website. 

    When renewing, you can renew your current Magic Key tier or upgrade to a higher available pass type. Currently, the only upgrade available is the Inspire Key. The other Magic Keys are available for renewals only at this time. This means only current Magic Keyholders with an Enchant or Believe Key can renew into those pass types.
