Hey there, Christine. Thanks for sharing this question with us and welcome to planDisney. I'm so excited to hear that you are a
Magic Key holder and are planning to unlock yet another year of magic. I just recently renewed my Magic Key pass and I am delighted to share my experience with you.
Magic Key passes can be renewed up to 30 days before the expiration date. You are still able to make a
theme park reservation and enter the parks for the day that your current Magic Key pass expires. Once you've completed your renewal, you can immediately start making theme park reservations for your renewed Magic Key pass. As you've mentioned, there will be some days before your renewal period opens up where you won't be able to make any reservations (for days after your current Magic Key pass expires). I recommend renewing as soon as possible to snag any of your future visit dates. When I renewed my pass the expiration date changed to one day earlier than what it was previously (I believe because next year is a leap year which added an extra day).
I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect as you prepare to renew your Magic Key pass and I hope you've been enjoying all of the benefits. I recently visited and was able to pick up the last of the four Haunted Mansion trading cards exclusively for Magic Key holders. If you don't already, make sure to follow
@disneylandmagickey on Instagram for the latest and greatest updates.
Christine, if you have anything else that we can help answer, please come back to visit us. Until then, I'll be sending pixie dust your way in the hopes that everything goes smoothly. Here's to another magical year at the Happiest Place on Earth!
Michelle
