If renewing my annual pass, when does "the clock" start? Does it begin immediately after the expiration date or on the first time I use it after the expiration date?

Hi Jennifer! I totally understand how confusing this can be as we go through it every year trying to figure it out. We have had to renew early in order to get FastPasses for an upcoming vacation.

If you are renewing a Disney Annual Pass it is always going to relate to your anniversary or expiration date. You can renew early or renew after that date but that date stays the same for you. You might not be visiting for several months but the Annual Pass is active whether you want it to be or not. As I mentioned if your upcoming visit is near or during your expiration/anniversary date then you will have to renew early in order to get those FastPasses!

Hope this information is clear and helpful as it can be very confusing.
