Hi there, Matthew!
We experienced a similar challenge when we renewed our
Disneyland Resort Magic Key passes a while ago. What I found was that a Magic Key renewal will create a separate pass that is linked to the
Disneyland Resort account to which the original pass is primarily linked. You can see which passes are linked to an account from the “
Membership & Passes” page. You can also find that screen from “My Profile” under the ☰ feature menu of the
Disneyland mobile app.
In the case of my family, all of our passes happen to be primarily linked to my account. We also have a
secondary linkage of our passes to my wife’s account so that she can use the mobile app to access the parks and
Lightning Lane queues using her mobile device. But since the primary linkage of our passes is with my account, the as-yet unused Magic Key pass renewals only showed up with my account. Since a
theme park reservation must be associated with a valid
theme park ticket or pass for the date of the reservation, only the new Magic Key renewal passes will be valid for making reservations for dates that occur after the currently valid passes expire. When you
make your new theme park reservations for dates after your current passes expire, make sure that you are logged in using the same account that was used for the original purchase and linkage of your Magic Key passes.
That is how things worked out for our family. If you don’t see the renewal passes linked to any of the accounts used by your party, you may need to reach out to a Cast Member with the
Magic Key Holders phone line. If
Experiment 626 has caused some trouble with things, hopefully, the Cast Member can help sort things out. Just in case, I recommend having your renewal confirmation email handy when you call. The email will have been sent to the account used to make the renewal purchase by the Disneyland Reservations email address dlr.guest.mail@disneyonline.com with the subject of “Disneyland Confirmation” along with your purchase confirmation number. If you don’t see the email, be sure to look in your spam or junk mail folder.
I’m sure you are as excited as I am to experience all the new magic happening this year at the Disneyland Resort. Of course, there is the
Disney100 Celebration that just kicked off. But don’t forget to
Celebrate Soulfully during the month of February. You’ll find exhibits, entertainment, and food to enjoy for a limited time. And I know you said you plan on visiting the Disneyland Resort on the 23rd and 24th of February. But you might also consider booking a park reservation for
Disney California Adventure Park before the
Lunar New Year celebration ends on February 15, 2023.
Have a magical time, Matthew!
