Hey there, hi there, Karina! Welcome to planDisney. We are so glad you've stopped by with your question for us.
I am happy to hear your family are
Magic Key holders and are able to enjoy the magic of Disneyland Resort over and over again. I'm sending a belated birthday to your kiddo! It's unclear if they are now four or three years old, but either way, you are right that they are past due for their own Magic Key now. I reached out to the
Magic Key line, and a Cast Member shared with me that when a child turns the magical three and the rest of the family has Magic Key passes, there is an option for you. If the same pass that the family has is not available, you have 60 days from your kiddo's birthday to visit a ticket booth with your kiddo and bring a birth certificate or passport for verification to purchase a Magic Key for them.
Your best bet is to reach out to the Magic Key line to chat with a Cast Member, as you are past the 60 days, and the Imagine Key was available for a while recently. For future information, you can purchase a Magic Key, and it won't activate until the first visit. So you could have purchased your child a Magic Key when the Imagine Pass was available, and the year wouldn't have started until they visited with you for the first time with the pass. The good news is that the Enchant Pass is still available at the time of writing this.
Hopefully, you have plans to visit soon and explore the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. There's fun for every age, and I'm sure your young one would love the
Confection Purrfection with the SuperKitties. My kids loved this festival entertainment option when they were young. Who doesn't love getting to decorate a cupcake?!
Karina, thanks for stopping by!
